Dr. Dheeraj Masapu, MD, DM, is a distinguished Neuroanesthesiologist and Senior Consultant at Aster Whitefield Hospital, Bangalore. With over a decade of expertise, he has been instrumental in advancing neuroanaesthesia and neurocritical care in India.
Dr. Masapu completed his DM in Neuroanaesthesia and Neurocritical Care at NIMHANS, Bangalore, and his MD in Anaesthesia as a Gold Medalist from NRI Medical College, Vijayawada. His career reflects a profound commitment to excellence in patient care, medical education, and research.
At Aster Whitefield, Dr. Masapu leads neuroanesthesia services, specializing in advanced intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM), pediatric neuroanaesthesia, and complex procedures for epilepsy and spine surgeries.
As a thought leader, Dr. Masapu has co-authored over 30 peer-reviewed articles and is a reviewer for esteemed journals like World Neurosurgery and Elsevier. He has conducted numerous workshops, including Target-Controlled Infusion (TCI) monitoring and evoked potential monitoring, shaping the next generation of anesthesiologists.
Dr. Masapu’s leadership roles include serving as the Treasurer and Founding Member of the Association of Target Control Infusion and Total Intravenous Anesthesiologists in India (AOTTA) and as Course Director for the ISNACC-accredited Fellowship in Neuroanaesthesia.
