Saravanan Sundarakrishnan is an American Board certified and licensed Orthotist and Prosthetist who knew from the very beginning of his training that he was meant to do this. He received his Bachelor’s degree of Science in Prosthetics & Orthotics from Maharashtra University for Health Sciences in Nashik, Maharashtra, India and completed his orthotic residency at the University of Michigan Orthotics and Prosthetics Center in Ann Arbor Michigan. Saravanan completed his prosthetic residency at Hanger Orthotics and Prosthetics in Boardman, Ohio. Working in U.S for more than 8 years, Saravanan has gained immense knowledge in treating patients with compassion for their prosthetic and orthotic needs. He has worked with the leading hospitals and manufacturers to provide a comprehensive solution for patients.
Saravanan is the first clinician in Asia who is certified to fit Starband Cranial Helmets from Orthomerica which is an FDA regulated device. After moving back to India in 2013, Saravanan started KARE Prosthetics & Orthotics which is a state of the art Prosthetic and Orthotic clinic committed to provide International quality Prostheses, Orthoses & Mobility aid solutions to people with disabilities.
With its headquarters in Bangalore - India, KARE has branches in Chennai, Kochi, Hyderabad, Kolkata & Ghaziabad. Saravanan also travels with his team to provide services in other neighbouring countries like Malaysia, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia and Philippines; where quality of orthotic and prosthetic services is still compromised or too expensive.
Saravanan is very passionate about giving the best quality product and customized solutions to patients as per their requirement. He has a special interest in applying new technologies and materials to bring a unique perspective to patient care.
