Why 'The Head Shape Clinic' was born?
Our founder, Dr Vybhav Deraje, has been treating babies with head shape deformities since 10 years now. Over the years, he strongly felt that there is a profound lack of awareness among new parents, the community and even medical professionals regarding head shape issues in infants like Positional plagiocephaly, Positional brachycephaly and Craniosynostosis. There were stories where concerned parents were inaccurately reassured by medical professionals that 'Things would get better by itself' or 'Wait and watch' or 'This does not require treatment' or 'Oh! It is just a cosmetic issue.'
This level of prevalent apathy encouraged Dr Vybhav to initiate this project of spreading awareness regarding 'Flat Head syndrome' or 'Abnormal Head shape' in general and Deformational plagiocephaly, brachycephaly and Craniosynostosis in specific.
Our mission is to inform, educate and in specific conditions, treat such head deformities in children and increase awareness in the community.
We are known in the community for expert Flat head treatment, advanced Helmet therapy services and cutting edge Craniosynostosis surgery in India.
